Photoshop does not an artist make
This week I’m trying to learn how to use Photoshop. In order to improve my web design skills, I picked up a Photoshop manual and am plowing through it. Unfortunately, the book uses all sorts of crazy terms like alpha channels, layer masks and adjustment layers hundreds of pages BEFORE it actually tells you what those terms mean. Beam me up through the vector mask, Scottie!
I think maybe I was just born graphic design-challenged. I was always the one, after all, who drew dogs and cows in art class and the teacher couldn’t tell which was which unless I wrote “bark” or “moo” in the speech bubble. Sad.
