So I suppose this "about me" page is supposed to answer the question, "Who am I?" The short answer to this question is that I haven't really figured that out just yet. That being said, here are some of the things I know for sure.
I live in Boston and hail from New Hampshire originally. No, I don't like the cold just because I grew up in New England (why does everyone always assume that?). I tolerate the cold in part because I love Boston! I live with my husband in Beacon Hill and still revel everyday in the fact that I am in short walking distance of restaurants, bars, shops, Boston Common and all that Boston has to offer. That's hard to beat.
Besides my location, I suppose I am also defined by my work. As you may have guessed, I work at home. Due to the portable nature of laptop computers, I am able to take full advantage of my local Starbucks. And, as someone who used to work at Starbucks, let me answer some of you skeptics out there. Coffee does NOT cost five dollars a cup! If you really just want coffee it's less than two dollars, comparable to that other New England caffeine favorite, Dunkin' Donuts. Starbucks is a great way for me to get out of the house and see other people. Yeah people!
Personality wise, think of the person you most love and admire and that pretty much sums me up. ;-) I'm extremely modest. Can you tell? But seriously, I'm enthusiastic, somewhat shy when meeting new people (but people who've known me for years sometimes find that hard to believe). I like to dance, can't sing a tune to save my life and plan to someday live like a princess in a tower (probably in Chambord castle in France). I'm just waiting for my husband to show up on his white horse and whisk me away. In the mean time I'll settle for being whisked off to the local restaurant instead. Or maybe I'll do the whisking!
Given infinite finances, I would probably be a career student. I love taking classes and learning stuff. I have, however, promised myself that I will not go back to school AGAIN (I went back to get a Master's in French literature, a story for another day!) until I have a valid job in mind. For the moment, I suppress the urge to run back to school by writing websites (as you can see), traveling and playing Dance Dance Revolution on the Wii. Who needs school compared to that?
